First Time Trying Tai Chi

Posted In: Uncategorized

Well, there is a first for everything and I am happy to say I have tried Tai Chi and I really liked it. As a certified fitness instructor, I lead a variety of class formats that always have moderate to fast, upbeat music and high energy. I really enjoy a slow flow vinyasa yoga or restorative to balance it all out plus I get to be a student and experience it in so many wonderful  ways. I have also taken Pilates and Barre and really enjoy the benefits of how they work my body differently than any of the other classes so was excited to give this a try. It was hard at first to really sloooowwww down and then I realized HOW MUCH I REALLY NEED THIS!! I feel our society has become filled up with tech overload and we have so many things pulling us in so many different directions that we don’t even remember HOW to slow down or remember how very important it really is.  Below is a picture of Bev, our certified Tai Chi instructor at Energize Fitness in Sycamore, IL and she really does a great job! We are soooo excited to have her on the schedule for the fall session. It is an evening class so we are hoping more people will give it a try to see the benefits!

Speaking of Benefits, here is just a brief overview of some of the ways you can benefit from adding this to your life. Unfortunately, some people will say it is boring or just too slow for them. Guess what???? Those people need it even MORE!!! If that is you, please reconsider trying it, not just once but several times to truly give it your best effort. I have done a bit of research and the benefits go on much farther than listed below. As a certified Health and Wellness Coach, I empower others to learn, grow, and find what helps them best on their health and wellness journey so I will leave it here and say there is soooooo much more info out there on the benefits of Tai Chi.  Research and learn so you can improve your health. 😉
